The New College of Florida Pre-Law Handbook has information about JOBS AND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRE-LAW STUDENTS.
Harvard University Careers in Law notes that ''Practicing lawyers find it difficult to delegate responsibilities on a short-term basis. It is therefore difficult for you as an undergraduate to explore the field in a hands-on way. The small volume of work for which undergraduates can be hired, at least in private-firm settings, usually does not allow you to replicate what you would be doing later in the field, but rather only to observe practitioners in action and debrief them. Public sector settings are often understaffed and underfunded, and so represent more promising environments for delegation of actual legal tasks.''
